As the leaves return and the day grows and the temperature rises the children in school begin to count the days down to summer vacation, another thing begins to happen; homeowners begin to think about moving. This winter we have experienced a drought when it comes to available homes for sale and this has caused an increase in bidding wars for homes and an increase in price. Although the weather may still be chilly, there are plenty of buyers ready to move and we need houses to begin to hit the market. If you are thinking about selling this spring, keep in mind that the sooner you list, the better. This is because the closer you get to the warm weather the more homes will hit the market and the more variety buyers will have. You want your home on the market before everyone else. You also want to take the time to fix and clean the small stuff that you think buyers do not pay attention to. The number one thing that turns a buyer off in a home for sale is cleanliness!
Our current market condition is one in which buyers are faced with the reality that the interest rates are going up and that they do not have many homes/condos to choose from. We are hoping that more homeowners will decide to sell their home soon. If you have been thinking of selling, call us for a free consultation, Market Analysis and Broker Price Opinion of your home.
